Speakers:

Dr. Hans Belcsák is President of S.J. Rundt & Associates, Inc., headquartered in New York City. Born in Austria and educated for the most part in Innsbruck, he majored in commercial law and political economics and obtained the degree of Doctor of Jurisprudence. He is the publisher of Rundt's World Business Intelligence dealing with global, political and economic trends, Rundt's World Risk Analysis Program of Country Risk Assessments, and the Financial Executive's Country Risk Alert.

Paul Beretz, CICE, is the founder of Pacific Business Solutions, a Q2C partner, and brings over 30 years of global experience in credit, finance and management with industries such as telecommunications, semi-conductors, forest products, chemicals, plastics and consumer products. He is on the faculty of St. Mary's College, teaching in undergraduate and graduate degreed programs and has helped create and instruct in on-line certificate programs for both FCIB and CMA. Paul received his BBA from the University of Notre Dame, an MBA from Golden Gate University, the Executive Award from the Graduate School of Credit and Financial Management at Stanford University and the CICE designation from the FCIB association.

Kevin Chandler, CCE, serves as the Director of Global Credit and Collections for Halliburton Energy Services in Houston, Texas where he is responsible for the company's global portfolio. He has over 20 years of experience in international credit, finance, and receivable management. Prior to joining Halliburton, Mr. Chandler worked for Landmark Graphics Corporation, Westinghouse Electric Corporation and General Electric Capital Corporation.

Kenneth Danilson is President and Managing Director of PHI Financial Services, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Pioneer Hi-Bred International, a DuPont Company. PHI Financial Services is a captive finance company providing $1 Billion in loans to over 50,000 farmers and ranchers in North America for the purchases of Pioneer and DuPont agricultural products. He also has global responsibilities for Pioneer in credit policy and program development and compliance. In addition to his duties with Pioneer, Kenneth is the Credit Manager for DuPont’s Agriculture and Nutrition Platform. He has been with Pioneer/DuPont for 17 years and prior to that was Vice President of First Interstate Bank of Iowa. His background includes over 7 years of international credit experience with Pioneer and 30 years in the banking and credit business. Kenneth is a member of RMA’s National Agricultural Lending Committee and contributes volunteer work as the National Finance Chairman of the American Legion and State Finance Officer and Treasurer of the American Legion of Iowa.

Neil Leary currently serves as President and is a member on the Board of Directors for Atradius Trade Credit Insurance, Inc., Atradius Collections, Inc., and Atradius Seguros de Credito, S.A. As the leader of these wholly owned entities of Atradius Group, Neil is responsible for the Atradius business activities in the NAFTA operations through out the US, Canada and Mexico. Leary’s work experience includes five years with First Union Corporation and twenty-five years with Core States Financial Corporation, where he held various senior management positions in the international and corporate markets. Leary’s vast financial experience is a nice fit for the Amsterdam-based Atradius Group. As one of the worlds leading credit insurers, the group protects more than $390 billion of global trade each year and has global operations in 40 countries. Leary holds a Bachelors degree from Philadelphia College and did his postgraduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania. He attended and completed the Executive Management Program - International Banking at the University of Colorado, and also the Stern Stewart Executive Management Program - Investment Banking at Columbia University.

David Marsh, CBF, CICE, has been Manager of Credit for Novus International, Inc. since the company was formed in 1991. With Novus, he travels frequently throughout Latin America and periodically to Europe and Asia Pacific. Before Novus, Mr. Marsh was a division credit manager at Anheuser-Busch, and was corporate credit manager at Chromalloy American Corporation from 1971-1986. He started his career in 1963, working in agricultural and international credit at Monsanto Company, and then as a division credit manager for Textron in St. Louis. Mr. Marsh is an active member of FCIB’s Board of Directors and currently serves on the Board of NACM-St. Louis where he was named Credit Executive of the Year in 2002.

Roger Mumper, CCE is a graduate of the Graduate School of Credit & Financial Management at Stanford University. He has held several credit management positions throughout his business career, including Vice President of Credit at a major manufacturing firm in the Midwest. He was an instructor at the University of Wisconsin for seven years where he taught “Credit Management “ and “Financial Statement Analysis.” He is the author of the chapter titled “Credit Scoring” that appears in the Credit Research Foundation handbook. Roger was a co-owner for 14 years of Credit & Management Systems, a firm that owns and markets the “Corporate Credit Manager” software system. He now acts as an Independent Sales Representative for them.

Dr. Martin Regalia is vice president for economic and tax policy and chief economist of the United States Chamber of Commerce. Prior to coming to the Chamber in April 1993, Regalia was the director of research for the Savings and Community Bankers of America. Prior to that post in June 1992 when the group was founded, Regalia was executive vice president, policy development, and chief economist for the National Council of Community Bankers – one of SCBA’s predecessor organizations. He also served as a principal analyst in the Fiscal Analysis Division at the Congressional Budget Office, as an economist for the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System in both the Banking and Capital Markets Sections and as financial economist for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. Additionally, he served as a consultant to the Thrift Institutions Advisory Council to the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System and was a visiting instructor in the School of Government and Business, The George Washington University. Regalia holds a B.A. with honors in economics from the University of Santa Clara and an M.A. in economics and a Ph.D. in monetary economics from the University of Wisconsin.

Tina Sorrels, CICP, attended Indiana University- Purdue University extension in Indianapolis and Mercer University of Atlanta. She has built a successful career in international business over the past 30 years, currently serving as Director of Credit at AJC International, Inc. in Atlanta GA. Over the years she has managed various roles at AJC in the Logistics and Credit field. In addition she has 2 years experience with Universal Flavors in Indianapolis, Indiana as International Documentation Manager. Mrs. Sorrels holds the role of AJC Corporate Secretary, as well as being the Chairman of the Employees Community Involvement Committee at AJC. Mrs. Sorrels obtained her Certificate of International Credit Professionals in June 2004, and is a member of the “North American Advisory Board for Finance, Credit and International Business,” which is an affiliate of the National Association of Credit Management.

Richard Spycher is Vice President - Credit for Archer Daniels Midland Company, Decatur Illinois. In his position he is responsible for the management of ADM's global trade receivable portfolio. He has over 30 years experience in credit, trade finance and receivable management and has been an active member of FCIB and NACM for a number of years.

Scott Thomas is Global Credit Manager, Performance Materials & Textile Fibers, INVISTA, a Koch company. In addition, he has administrative responsibilities for the credit group in Latin America located in Mexico City, Sao Paulo, Buenos Aires and Bogota. A graduate of UC San Diego and having earned a dual Masters degree from Thunderbird and ESADE in Barcelona Spain, Scott's first position was Manager at FCIB in 1983-84. He since has worked for Celanese and its successors with positions in international credit, financial analysis, treasury, as plant controller, and in international sales and business development. He has also been an instructor of International Business at Central Piedmont Community College and the University of North Carolina, Charlotte.

Dr. Leigh Thompson is the J. Jay Gerber Distinguished Professor of Dispute Resolution & Organizations in the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. She is the director of the ATT Behavioral Research Laboratory at Kellogg and the Kellogg Leading High Impact Teams Executive program at Northwestern University. In 1991, Dr. Thompson received a the multi-year Presidential Young Investigator award from the National Science Foundation for her research on negotiation and conflict resolution. In 1999, Thompson received a grant from Citicorp for research on negotiation. In 1994-1995, Dr. Thompson was a Fellow at the Center for Advanced Study in the Behavioral Sciences in Stanford, California. Leigh Thompson has published more than 95 research articles and chapters in edited books, and has authored 6 books.

David Weidinger is the Senior Director of Credit & AR for The McGraw-Hill Companies, a premier provider of information and products in the financial services, education and business information markets through leading brands such as Standard & Poor's, Business Week and McGraw-Hill Education. David coordinates a team of 130 credit, collections and receivables professionals dealing with McGraw-Hill’s Education and Information & Media divisions. He previously spent 13 years at DuPont, most recently as DuPont's Global Credit Manager overseeing DuPont’s worldwide $5 billion receivables portfolio. His background includes years of international business and management expertise in varying financial roles. He has lived abroad for nine years, seven of which involved finance and credit management in Central and Eastern Europe. Dave holds an undergraduate business degree from Southern Methodist University and an MBA from Thunderbird.

The continuing education units have been awarded in accordance with the standards recommended by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training. The CEU is a nationally recognized unit designed to provide a record of an individual’s continuing education accomplishments. One continuing education unit (CEU) is awarded for each 10 contact hours of instruction.
