
Philippe Cayrel, EMEA Credit Manager, Western Digital -
France
Mr Cayrel has worked in credit management for over twenty
five years. He started his career in London as an internal
auditor for the Intercontinental Hotel Group. After 3 years
in the U.K he returned to Paris where he worked in the Treasury
and Credit departments of Rohm and Haas France. Philippe
joined Western Digital in 1990 and is currently their Credit
Manager in charge of the Europe, Middle East and Africa
Region. He is a regular attendee at FCIB’s European
Conferences since 1995 and achieved the CICP accreditation
in January 2004. He is also a member of the Association
Française des Credit Managers et Conseils (AFDCC).
In September, he was elected to FCIB’s European Advisory
Council.

Tim Davies LLB MBA FICM, Group Credit Manager, British Vita
Group, UK
Mr Davies has had a long and varied career in credit and
working capital management, working in banking, publishing,
chemicals, pharmaceuticals and now the foam and plastic
industries. Following a five year spell of residency in
Switzerland, Tim has returned to the UK to create and manage
a new function within the World’s largest foam manufacturer.
A regular writer on credit and general management topics,
Tim is also a member of Council of the UK’s Institute
of Credit Management.

Katarzyna Kompowska, Managing Director, Coface Austria AG
& Coface Poland Credit Management Services, Poland.
Mrs Kompowska was responsible for setting up and developing
Coface Poland Credit Management Services. Since 2003 she
has been responsible for developing credit insurance activities
for Coface in Poland as the Managing Director of Coface
Austria Kreditversicherung AG. Mrs Kompowska was recognised
in 2005 as the most entrepreneurial Woman of the Year by
the Businessman Magazine.
Arkadiusz Krzesniak, Chief Economist,
Deutsche Bank Polska S.A., Poland
Mr Krzesniak is responsible for economic research at DB
Polska. His role is to analyze economic, political and financial
market developments in Poland and other CE-3 countries.
He joined Deutsche Bank Polska in 2001 from Bank Zachodni
WBK, where he worked as Chief Economist from 1999. Before
joining Bank Zachodni WBK Mr Krzesniak worked at the University
of Warsaw, Department of Economics. He graduated from Warsaw
University with an MS in Computer Science in 1991 and completed
postgraduate studies in International Economics at HEI,
Geneva in 1995.

Chris Kuehl, Ph.D., Managing Director, Armada Corporate
Intelligence, USA
Dr Kuehl works with major clients including Yellow Transportation,
Hallmark International, Lighthouse Communication and Texas
Utilities. He has held many higher learning positions in
Finance and Economics at institutions such as Baker University,
Avila College, Budapest University of Economic Sciences,
Tartu University and Min-Chuan College in Taipei. He currently
serves as a senior faculty member for the Keller Graduate
School of Management. Dr. Kuehl received his Ph.D. in Political
Economics.

Scott Lander, Vice President, JPMorgan Chase Vastera., UK
Mr Lander started his career in HM Customs and Excise in
the UK performing a wide range of compliance duties. Following
spells with a Dutch logistics provider and as EMEA Shipping
Manager for an American Telecommunications company, Mr.
Lander became a Trade Consultant with PwC. Having joined
Vastera in 1999, and following the acquisition of Vastera
by JPMorgan Chase, he was appointed as Vice President responsible
for business development for EMEA. He regularly contributes
to Global Customs studies on international trade simplification
and speaks at the WCO in Brussels. Mr Lander is a Member
of the Institute of Logistics and Transport.

Annelize Roberts, Finance Director, GSK Export Ltd, UK
The Export Division supports various offshore branches in
Eastern Europe, Middle East and North Africa and provides
in addition, a platform for trading arrangements with other
GSK entities across the world, including multimarket warehousing
& tolling arrangements. From 1997 Mrs Roberts worked
in the Consumer Healthcare business for GSK and heritage
companies, after she relocated to the UK from South Africa,
where she completed her Chartered Accountant qualification
with KPMG based in Pretoria.
Peter Sargent, Director, Head of
Sales, Corporate Transaction Services, Lloyds TSB UK.
Mr Sargent’s team is responsible for understanding
client needs up and down the supply chain and for devising,
managing and selling solutions that meet those needs. He
joined Lloyds TSB in May 2003 to head their International
Trade Finance team in order to re-focus their efforts in
the trade services and finance market. Until March 2003
Mr Sargent was Head of European Trade Sales at Citibank,
and in addition, led their trade and e-commerce strategy.
Prior to that he spent time with ABN Amro where he was Head
of Trade, Export and Commodity Finance and Creditanstalt
Bank Verein. He learnt the basics of the business doing
a 10 year stint at Royal Bank of Scotland. Mr Sargent is
a regular speaker on international trade matters throughout
Europe and has previously served on several governmental
advisory committees on behalf of the banking industry.

Mats Weckström, MBA, Vice President, UPM-Kymmene, Finland
Mr Weckström has a long standing experience from the
Paper industry in Finland. He joined it in 1978 as Head
of Internal Audit for the Finnish sales organisations for
Paper, Board Pulp and Converted paper. Later on he joined
the paper sales organisation - Finnpap - as Finance and
Administrative Director. During this time Mr Weckström
was also in charge of the credit risks for sales to emerging
markets. Upon the merger of UPM and Kymmene he organised
the newly created paper company's credit risk management.
He was also nominated as Head of the Sales Network Administration
and nominated to Chairman of the Sales Companies' Boards.
He has worked abroad for some years gaining experience and
knowledge of sales operations.

Ron Wells, Credit Manager, Chevron Corporation, UK
Mr Wells is the author of Global Credit Management, an Executive
Summary published by John Wiley & Sons. He is a Certified
Credit Executive, a Chartered Management Accountant, a qualified
International Banker (ACIB) and a Chartered Corporate Secretary
(FCIS). Mr Wells participated in the NACM Graduate School
for Credit and Financial Management in 1996/97, passed with
distinction and was elected Best Student. Prior to joining
Chevron, he worked for various companies and commercial
banks becoming a specialist in financial analysis, corporate
credit management, trade operations management and trade
finance-related marketing. Mr Wells frequently participate
in FCIB Conferences by sitting as a Panelist and Presenter.
He is also a member of the European Advisory Council.
