Speaker Biographies

Paul Angeli is Director, Financial Lines of Aon Trade Credit in New York, where he is responsible for working with financial institutions and major corporate clients to develop and arrange financial risk mitigation programs through the placement of credit and political risk insurance solutions that support lending to emerging markets borrowers, and receivables securitizations. Prior to joining Aon, he was the President of Credit International Associates, Inc. (CIA), a specialized risk insurance broker acquired by Aon in 1996.

Pat Connelly, MBA, CCE, MICM is the Director, Institute for Credit/Risk Management, College of Business, University of South Florida and former Chief Credit Executive, Senior Vice President of Worldwide Credit Services, and officer of Tech Data Corporation, Clearwater Florida. Pat has lectured extensively for three decades and provided worldwide seminars on credit risk management related topics in over two dozen countries. To expand that knowledge Pat continues to serve on the adjunct faculty in the College of Business, and founded the Institute for Credit/Risk Management at the University of South Florida. Pat is progressing towards the completion of a book on Credit Risk Management and the Credit Services Paradigm to be released in early 2005.

Angela Hodges, CICP is a Regional Credit Manager with Alcoa Inter-America, Inc. where she has garnered twelve years experience in international credit. Previously, Ms. Hodges spent five years at General Motors. She has a Masters degree in International Management from the American Graduate School of International Management, aka Thunderbird.

Carlos Machado has been the Credit Manager of International Export Credit for Cargill, Inc. for the past eight years. Before joining the credit department, he worked as an accounting manager for the international grain trading division, Cargill Americas, Inc. and as a business analyst for Cargill, Inc. Carlos holds a Finance degree from Florida International University, and a Master of International Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University. He has been an active member and supporter of FCIB for the past seven years, and has attended numerous FCIB conferences and participated as a speaker and panelist.

Julio Morejon is Vice President of Trade Finance and Banking for Standard Americas, Inc., a subsidiary of the Standard Bank Group. Mr. Morejon has 15 years of experience in International Banking, with specializations in international structured trade finance, forfaiting, factoring, and capital markets. During the last eight years he has specialized in forfaiting and structured trade finance. Prior to joining the Standard Bank Group three years ago, he served as Vice President of Forfaiting for The International Bank of Miami.
