Sharpen your basic understanding of Letters of Credit during a 1-hr webinar with Sherri Lane, Director of Consulting and Insurance Services and Charlie Kelly, Vice President, of Trade Technologies Inc. They will present an informative webinar about LC basics and how they can be used to accelerate cash flow and streamline trade. Attendees will learn about:

  • credit risk,
  • the nuts and bolts of the LC process, and
  • how to avoid discrepancies

They will demonstrate the basic issues that either make LCs an effective payment mechanism or a major headache and how you can avoid the latter.


Sherri Lane, Director of Consulting and Insurance Services, Trade Technologies Inc.

Sherri is responsible for Trade Technologies' consulting and cargo insurance services. She brings over 30 years of experience in the international transportation and documentation industry to this role. Before joining Trade Technologies, Sherri was the founder of International Access, a provider of international trade documentation and legalization services. Trade Technologies acquired International Access in August 2003. Prior to founding International Access, Sherri was the International Traffic Manager for Gold Kist, Inc. Sherri was also the International Coordinator for Scientific Atlanta. Sherri has also managed air and ocean operations and been responsible for U.S. training for major international forwarders.

Charlie Kelly, Vice President, Customer Satisfaction, Trade Technologies Inc.

Charlie Kelly is primarily responsible for providing customer service and satisfaction to Trade Technologies outsourced and trade bank customers. He brings over 30 years experience in international banking and trade services to his role. Prior to joining Trade Technologies in 2001, Charlie was SVP and Regional Manager of Global Trade Services South Asia at Bank of America in Singapore. Previously, Charlie was General Manager, NationsBank Taipei, Taiwan branch. He first joined Citizens and Southern National Bank in 1983, and rose through a variety of positions, all involving international banking. Charlie graduated with a BA from Western Michigan University and received his Masters in International Affairs- Banking and Financing from Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs, (SIPA). Charlie was advisor to the Chairman's Office of the Samsung Group and a Peace Corps volunteer in Korea.
