ICCE Requirements

ICCE REQUIREMENTS: CANDIDATES FOR THE ICCE AND ICCE RECERTIFICATIONICCE Requirements

A total of 12 points (5 education and 7 participation) is needed to both qualify as an ICCE candidate and to recertify.

To apply, candidates must complete an application fee. To maintain ICCE status, ICCEs must recertify every two years. The initial application fee is $200 and the recertification fee is $200 every two years.

First-time ICCE applicants (with a CICP) may apply at anytime. Points must have been earned within the previous 24 months of the date of application. For example, if a candidate applies for the ICCE designation on January 1, 2015, points must have been earned in 2013 and 2014 (the prior 24 months) to be accepted.

ICCEs may request an extension to their recertification period if extenuating circumstances have hindered the ability to meet the recertification requirements. Extensions will be granted on a case-by-case basis. Recertification applications received up to 30 days late will be processed, but will incur a $25 late fee. ICCEs filing under an approved extension may also be subject to the late fee.

ICCE recertification will be required every two years, until the holder reaches retirement age, which is determined by the prevailing retirement age in the holder’s country of residency or upon notification that the holder is no longer working/has retired full time.
