Grading Philosophy

FCIB believes that grading for a course should not only test knowledge, but also how that knowledge is used. Since an important part of credit and risk management depends on successful interaction with internal and external customers, interaction among the students and the instructor is considered critical to successfully completing the online program.

Grading Policy

This course is designed to prepare students for the Certified International Credit Professional (CICP) designation. Students who complete the course successfully will be eligible to take the certification exam.

To successfully complete the course, students must:

  1. Must actively participate in the course by completing all of the course assignments, including reading all course materials, listening to any embedded recordings.
  2. Achieve 70% or higher on post-module quizzes. (Modules have a quiz at the end of the section’s last lesson.) Quizzes are a mixture of true-false and multiple choice questions.
  3. Complete and submit the online course evaluation prior to taking the final exam.

Are there any textbooks or materials that are needed?

No, FCIB supplies all of the necessary materials online.

Home improvement concept, Hand of businessman using laptop with energy efficiency rating, ecological and bioenergetic house, efficiency scale.

Is the CICP certification exam “online?”
The CICP certification examination is an “online” exam where students are able to pick any 4-hour window during the week following the end of the course in which to take the final exam.
Is there an extra fee to take the exam?
The exam fee is included in your ICRM course fee. There is NO EXTRA CHARGE FOR THE EXAM.
What is in the final exam?
The CICP exam is comprised of (100) multiple choice and True/False questions. We recommend that you take the exam as soon as possible to take advantage of the freshness of the accumulated knowledge from the course while allowing for more time to retake the exam should it be required.
What happens if I fail the CICP exam?
The passing grade for the CICP exam is 70% or higher. In the event that a participant scores below the passing grade, they will have the opportunity to retake the exam for a $150 administrative fee. FCIB encourages participants to contact their instructor for counsel and advice prior to retaking the exam. The week following the initial exam period will be available for additional retake opportunities. There is no limit to the number of times a participant may retake the exam, however, participants must successfully pass the exam during the two-week exam period in order to earn the CICP designation.
